Smile for the Camera
My darling husband takes pleasure in taking awkward pics of me with his phone. We have been attending follow up sessions for the marriage retreat we recently attended and when I would use the restroom he would wait for me. As I walked out of the bathroom he would snap a pic. Well today he tried again, but…another woman walked out first. Neither she nor her husband thought it was as funny as I did.
Love and Stuff
The children stuffed notes and pictures into our stockings as gifts. Sarah’s cracked me up.
Anniversary
We went to the fair for our anniversary.
Who is She?
We have been talking about going to Mississippi for the last few weeks. Today Joanna (5yrs) asked me, “Who is Miss. Issippi?”. 🙂 Kids bring joy.
Fell For It
Instead of saying, “You fell for it.” after a joke Sarah my seven year old says, “You fell through it.” I bust out laughing no matter how many times I have heard her say it before.
Current Season
A farm for livestock and souls to grow.
Sowing, will return when the garden is ready to harvest…in other words, the site is under construction. 😉 Most of the old posts from the original blog will not be transferred. Any posts added from the past will be back dated to appear in the order of original publication.
I Will…
I will walk right past you exhaustion to serve.
I will enjoy the many unnoticed little blessings when you distract me interruption and frustration.
I will avoid you temptation by embracing obedience.
I will destroy you despair by trusting God.
I will use the weapons of praise and gratitude to cast away the prowling dark to reveal peace and joy.
I will delight in using suffering at every opportunity to proclaim Love.
I will follow and love You, my great and beautiful I Am.
A Time to Speak?
I often think of returning here. There are so many thoughts needing to be written out in order to become focused and coherent. For me, life experiences are more fully processed when made with letters and punctuation. Even when incorrectly used or spelled. Perhaps though I need to ponder them all in the private of my heart a little longer. God is good all the time.
Love’s Executioner
Cruel deception
violent emotions tear
one-flesh from bone
Tender heart still beating
defenseless
ripped from chest
Lamenting soul silenced
lungs gasping
punctured and collapsing
Disregarded corpse
left unearthed
blows like dust
Indifferent death
darkness triumphant
perverse killer
Depraved knight of divorce
