Mudding - May 6, 2010 -
I walked home the last half mile.
I even lost a shoe further down the road in another puddle.
By the time I changed clothes and called to get towed out, the rain had eased up and most of the water was sucked up by the thirsty sugar sand we call a road. I wish I had my camera when I first got stuck to better show the size of the puddles but you’ll get the idea.
I laughed hard…and know I will do it again.

The dogs were kind enough to follow me back to the stuck van. This is Kita's head as she jumped in the ferns chasing a rabbit.

This was all under water on the hike home, but had drained off on the trip back. It is where I lost my shoe.

The unstuck side

My dog River assessing the situation or laughing at my stupidity.

Kita swam in several puddles on the way back to the van.

Help on the way

Now dried spot where my van once was trapped.

This was taken today at the children's request. It is the canyon left by my stuck rear wheel.
